Attention to details

Attention_To_Details

I found this image in an instruction leaflet I was proofreading. Do you notice anything peculiar with this image?

It must have been flipped horizontally during DTP – otherwise this watch would seem to go counterclockwise!

  1. Nice try, Riccardo! However, this is something which actually exists (page bottom):

  2. Nice try Anonymous. But I don't think tht's it: you'll notice that in addition to being counterclockwise, this watch also has the crown on the left. Either this is a really unusual right-handed counterclockwise wristwatch, or (more likely), the image is flipped horizontally. Occam's razor says the latter.

  4. By the way, the numerals are flipped too. Need a rest...

  5. Riccardo, out of curiosity, what did you notice first, the numerals or the crown? As an Italian, I am used to seeing Roman numerals all over the place so I noticed immediately that they were wrong. I wonder if this might be culture-specific and others might find the unusual position of the crown a more obvious tell-tale sign.

  6. Hi Licia,

    I noticed first the numbers.
